On December 19, 50 trucks loaded with Qingdao-manufactured home appliances departed from Qingdao Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone and headed to the Qingdao Multimodal Transport Center in the SCO Demonstration Zone. The goods will soon be transported to Russia via the China-Europe Railway Express, marking the first implementation of the "China-Europe Railway Express + Bonded Logistics" service model in Qingdao. By integrating bonded warehousing capabilities with the advantages of cross-border railway transportation, the new model provides enterprises with more efficient and cost-effective international logistics solutions.
To address common challenges faced by local enterprises in cross-border logistics, including high warehousing costs, lengthy export tax rebate cycles, and inefficient transportation connections, Qingdao Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone has combined its policy advantages with the railway corridor resources of Shandong Hi-Speed Group to develop the innovative "China-Europe Railway Express + Bonded Logistics" service model.
The first shipment includes complete refrigerators, core compressors, intelligent temperature control modules, and other key components. These goods will be transported from Qingdao to Russia via the China-Europe Railway Express and delivered to Haier's production base in Russia, where they will be assembled and supplied to the local market.
"Once goods enter the comprehensive bonded zone, enterprises can immediately apply for export tax rebates, significantly improving cash flow efficiency," said Zhao Yaping, Deputy Director of the Comprehensive Business Division of Qingdao Jiaodong Airport Customs Bonded Zone. Compared with traditional China-Europe Railway Express export procedures, the new model enables earlier tax rebate processing. Meanwhile, companies can flexibly arrange shipments according to train schedules by utilizing bonded warehousing facilities, achieving seamless integration between bonded storage and international rail transportation.
The "China-Europe Railway Express + Bonded Logistics" model combines the flexibility of bonded policies with the stability of railway transportation, offering enterprises a logistics solution featuring lower costs, higher efficiency, and improved supply chain reliability.
"We will continue to deepen strategic cooperation with Shandong Hi-Speed Group and further enhance the combined advantages of China-Europe Railway Express and bonded logistics.
