According to China Railway Group, the China-Europe Railway Express operated 3,501 freight trains from January to February 2026, transporting 352,000 TEUs of cargo. Compared with the same period last year, train operations and cargo volume increased by 32% and 25% respectively, demonstrating strong growth in both scale and service quality. The market competitiveness of the China-Europe Railway Express as an international logistics brand continues to improve.
A logistics center official from China Railway Group stated that since the beginning of 2026, railway authorities have continued to strengthen domestic and international coordination, optimize China-Europe Railway Express transportation organization, and improve train scheduling to better meet market demand. Cooperation with customs authorities has also been enhanced through improvements to the China Railway Logistics 95306 "Digital Port" system, further increasing customs clearance efficiency at railway ports.
Railway departments have strengthened cooperation with railway operators along the routes to ensure stable end-to-end transportation efficiency. By leveraging the role of China's 14 China-Europe Railway Express assembly centers, railway operators have improved cargo organization, transportation monitoring, and international logistics services. During the Spring Festival holiday, China-Europe Railway Express services continued operating without interruption, helping maintain stable global supply chains and supporting foreign trade supply and post-holiday business recovery.
The official said that China Railway Group will continue focusing on high-quality Belt and Road cooperation by improving coordination mechanisms and accelerating the development of an efficient transportation system, safety management system, diversified route network, and innovation-driven development system for the China-Europe Railway Express. These efforts aim to provide safer, higher-quality, and more efficient international rail logistics services, supporting China-Europe trade and China's further opening-up.
