At 15:00 on December 18, a China-Europe Railway Express train loaded with Chinese-made auto parts departed from Harbin International Container Center Station in Heilongjiang Province. The train, consisting of 55 containers, exited China through the Manzhouli railway port and headed west toward Europe. It marked the first China-Europe Railway Express service operated by China Railway Harbin Group carrying Chinese-made automotive components.
In recent years, as overseas demand for Chinese-made vehicles, auto parts and various mechanical equipment continues to grow, China Railway Harbin Group has focused on supporting key enterprises and major projects. By continuously improving the quality of China-Europe Railway Express services, it has gradually developed a regular, large-scale and integrated rail freight operation model.
Compared with traditional transportation methods, transporting automotive components by China-Europe Railway Express can reduce transit time by more than two-thirds and lower freight costs by over 25%. It also helps effectively prevent damage caused by repeated loading and unloading during transportation.
During the entire logistics process, railway authorities coordinated closely with enterprises in advance, developed customized transportation plans, and leveraged the integrated advantages of Harbin International Container Center Station in transportation, warehousing, distribution and customs clearance. By cooperating with customs authorities to establish a “green channel” and utilizing the China Railway 95306 Digital Port system, cargo clearance time can be shortened to within 30 minutes.
According to reports, two additional China-Europe Railway Express trains carrying Chinese-made auto parts to Europe will be launched this month. Railway authorities will further optimize train operation plans and promote the high-quality development of China-Europe Railway Express services with improved efficiency, safety and reliability.
